Welcome to Tales from the Scales. Are you loving this new look? I am! I feel like that girl in the middle of the banner, leaping through the air. Well, maybe just barely hopping once or twice. Either way, I'm very excited and I hope you are too!
Along with the new look, we have a new challenge and here are the details.
What's the challenge?
Look Great in 2008 Challenge.
Don't wait for New Year's Resolutions, start the year out looking and feeling great!
When does it begin and end? Wednesday, September 19 - Tuesday, January 8th
Can I join at anytime? ABSOLUTELY.
What do I need to do? Every Tuesday - weigh yourself. If you have
a blog, write about your losses, gains, successes, frustrations. Then
come back to Tales from the Scales and sign Mr. Linky, linking back to
your weekly blog post. We all need a little accountability, this is a
great way to have it.
Do I have to weigh in every Tuesday? Weigh-in on whatever day works best for you. Just report to Tales from the Scales on Tuesday.
Do I have to have a blog? Nope. You can type in your losses/gains next to your name every week. However, perhaps consider starting a blog. They're free and journaling while losing weight is awesome.
How do I get on your blog roll? Just e-mail your blog name and url to Beth at scaletales@gmail.com.
(please note: if you find yourself not participating in the challenge,
please e-mail me to have your blog removed from the blogroll. Thanks!)
What if I have information I want to share? Please share any
thoughts, recipes, product reviews and meaningful blog posts with me.
You can e-mail me anything. We'd love for this site to feel like your
home, so get your running shoes on and get comfortable! More than likely
we will share whatever you send us! Just keep it clean and pertinent!
Do you happen to have any advice for me for this challenge? Why yes I do. Take your before picture now. You will never regret it. When I look at mine, I throw my donut in the garbage and I don't even go back and get it later.
Do I have to be on Weight Watchers to join this challenge? Oh goodness no. Do whatever works for you.
Can I put a button on my blog promoting this challenge? I certainly don't want to keep all of this healthy goodness to myself! Goodness yes. The codes are below!

i've been here before and pretty much forgot to participate in the May challenge....BUT, i have lost 27.5 as of this morning, so i am still hanging in there!
i would love to participate. i see a few others have had a little trouble with the email address....hmmm...i'll try anyway.

Ok, I want to be in....
but I have to think about this....
I've tried so many forms of encouraging myself to lose weight (support groups, internet groups, etc) that I want to make sure I'm ready to commit before I sign up! :)

I was in the last challenge and stopped weighing in just a few weeks ago. I need a new motivation, so I'm in again! I know I can get better results this time.

I got an early start by weighing 5 days ago and lost 2.6 already. I will officially count though from today. I am excited and can't wait to report back next week....

I want to do this too. I didn't weigh myself yesterday, but will do it this morning. I will probably be the only person having to lose more than 100 pounds and I'm not sure how long this challenge will last, but I'm committing to start now. I know I'm looking at at least 2 years or more. But I've been reading this blog for a long time and there seems to be a lot of support here. I really need that more than anything.
I'll re-read this and make sure I understand all the rules.
