My, you are looking thinner this week!
How is your weight? Tell us all about it! Oh and in the comments sections, answer me this: If you could choose ONE food to have all of the same health benefits as say broccoli, what would it be? Just one now.

I actually really love broccoli. If I could pick a food to have the same health benefits. Hmmmmmmmm. That's a really good question. I have no idea. I don't do lowfat so there are lot of things I eat that lowfat dieters don't. Of the other stuff I have no desire for it so not sure if I'd eat it anyway. Stuff like chocolate, I only crave during that special time and carby food cravings are flighty at best. Can it be a wild card? ;)

Ditto, I LOVE BROC!

Well, this week I was in a holding pattern, thank you Mother of Hormones. It's hard not to see a loss, but the way my week has gone, I was glad not to see a big gain either.
If I could make chocolate be a health food and have the same nutritional information as broccoli, I would do it in a heartbeat! Then I would patent it.

For me, I would love it if sugar had health benefits....wouldn't it be great if the doctor said you really need to add more sugar in your diet, you might try having chocolate after ever meal!!! I say sugar because it encompasses chocolate....as well as cookies, cakes, and all desserts!!!

I weighed in yesterday for my start weight at 200.5. This morning for whatever reason the scale said 202.5 - yup.... I have my work cut out for me. If Bread was chock full of everything I ever needed w/o the calories I would consume loaves...

Well, I didn't get weighed officially by WW, but on my scale it shows a loss. But, I'm not taking that as an official weigh in.

My update is posted! With a light bulb moment for me!
As for what food I wish was as chock full of goodness as broccoli.....ice cream! Even just plain vanilla. :)

-2 this week. No time for a long comment, I have to get ready for Day Two of walking to and from work (5km altogether)...except it's pouring rain this morning. Eek!

Doh! Forgot to put that my weight is the same as last week, which I am thinking has something to do with hormones and going for sushi last night. I know, sushi before weigh in??? What was I thinking? But the kids were out with grandma, and we had a night to go out for supper, and I wanted sushi. Better a short term sodium game than being tempted by higher fat and calorie food, I think.

The 3.5 pounds that found me last week, left me this week! So I'm down 3.5 pounds for a total of 65 so far! Looking forward to hitting that 75 pound mark soon!!

Haha, CHIPS!! Definitely chips! Salty snacks in general are my undoing. So if SALT had the same nutritional value and health benefits that broccoli did, I'd be in HEAVEN -- and a lot skinnier, too!!

Snickers bars. No question about it. So, after my trip to Disneyland last week where I gained two pounds, it's been an up and down week. Yesterday I was 217.6 (which would be down 2 from last week). Today I'm 219.4. Hmmmm. So, I can report no loss.
Posted by: Paige | October 24, 2007 at 09:08 AM
I'm back after taking a week off from reporting in...I'm not sure why a gain of one pound week before last had me so discouraged -- I've had bigger gains and reported those -- but I couldn't face writing it down. I'm losing again though, so things are looking up...or down. ;)
I do really like broccoli, but if pasta, specifically pasta with alfredo sauce, had all the same benefits, you'd better believe I'd ditch the broccoli!

I must agree with many of you, that is that I love broccoli, but as a nursing mother broccoli gives my baby girl colic! I have to stick to green beans, carrots, and salads. )O=
I reported a two pound loss today, but as I have been watching the scale, my weight has been bouncing all over it! Some days I'm up, some days I'm down! My goal this week is to keep off the weight, as long as I maintain it I will be happy.
Posted by: KBM | October 24, 2007 at 09:38 AM
week: +2.5
total: -3.5
I like broccoli okay, but never raw, and only when served with at least a little cheesy sauce. Now if PASTA had the same benefits of broc, then I'd be in heaven.

Hurray for all of us!!!!!!!!!!

Oh.. that one is easy... CHOCOLATE!!!
Posted by: Tigerlilly | October 24, 2007 at 10:11 AM
Well, my 4.4 lbs loss due to stomach flu/diarrhea last week has been eaten away in large part by REHYDRATION. It was nice for that one day. hahahah.
I'm up 3 lbs, but I'm not upset, since that was still 2.4 down from the week before the flu. Onward and downward...

If chocolate had the nutritional value of broccoli, I'd be in heaven.
I gained this week. And I need help with ideas on getting more exercise.

PIZZA!!!
I'm waving hi to everyone because I'm new here at Tales From the Scales. This week I decided to join the challenge and have posted my info to Mr. Linky! lol. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.

I think cheesecake ought to have the same nutritional value as broccoli.
Dark chocolate DOES have nutritional value - but of course, in moderation. ;-) Dove dark chocolates and mini Snickers are allowed on the Abs Diet, ladies. Check it out. LOL
I have had a weird week. Down .2 today. A little discouraging after last week's great loss, but I think there are physical reasons for it, so I'll press on.

I normally hate desserts. I'd much rather just have "real food." But today, I'd love some cake for the points of brocoli.
I just had a birthday, so I'm craving the cake. I deserve it, right??? Nope, gotta say NO to it
